How can we be aware of the thoughts ?
How can we watch our thoughts?
How can we control our Mind?
These are the most  frequently raised questions in spirituality  workshops .
HELPFUL FOR EXCESSIVE THINKERS
If we get the right answers for the above questions it will be helpful for most of the people those who are suffering from excessive thinking and for those who became addicted towards thinking.

(to be frank 99% of the people today are addicted towards thinking ,but the sad thing is that they are unaware of this  and think that drowning in the stream of thoughts is natural)
It will be also helpful to improve our concentration and lead a happy life.
So in this post let us try to explore answers for the above questions
AWARENESS -A SMALL STORY
So before learning about awareness let us go through a small story .
Once upon a time a disciple went to his guru and asked him  ,"give me one word mantra so that I can just achieve what you have achieved."
Guru pleasantly smiled at the disciple and said, 'awareness'.

The desciple was very happy and runs thinking that iam going to do this now .after going half way distance he asked himself what am i supposed to do with this,then he comes back and asks the guru what is meant by awareness?
Then the guru said 'awareness' means awareness.
Disciple ran eagerly to some distance and again came back and asked what does it mean .
The guru said 'awareness' means awareness means awareness.
Let us come out of the story at this point
Now let us investigate
What we are  supposed to do with this word awareness.what does the gurus answer meant by?
WHAT IS AWARENESS
The inner meaning in gurus answer  is do not think much about it.
what am i supposed to do  ?
 how am i supposed to do?
do not search for the logic.
Awareness means just be aware ,just watch  what's going on around you.
AWARENESS OUTSIDE
We are aware of what's happening in the world around us .,
we are aware of what's happening on the moon ,
we are aware of what's happening under the ocean,
we are aware of what's happening in the neighbour's house .
So awareness means just to know.
So when we look out we are aware of every thing which is happening out side .
AWARENESS WITHIN
Now just look within .
look within

Look within means just look at the thoughts you creat.
Just ask yourself ,'what am I thinking.'
You can do this at any moment in your daily life just stop for a while and try to check what am I thinking.

If you do this regularly ,no need to ask yourself every time what am I thinking .
It will become natural and you will be aware of the thoughts at every moment.
Then you have  to ask yourself ' who is thinking' ,
you will get the answer, 'iam thinking',this is what awareness means.
Once when you know that you are thinking the second thing to ask yourself is,
is this the right kind of  thinking for me.
Then the third step is,
you have to ask yourself can i change this kind of thinking.
CONTROLLING THE MIND
Here one thing you have to keep in the Mind , you can never ever get the stage of no thinking ,where there are no thoughts.
Controlling the thoughts means not stopping them you can't do that ,but you can chanalize them in a proper direction .
WHAT IS MEDITATION.
Lot of people think that meditation means stopping the thinking process.
They sit for the meditation and go on insisting the mind to stop thinking which is also a thought .

They cannot achieve the goal of stopping the thinking  because it is against the natural state of mind.
Then the result will be pressure and heaviness in the mind.the people say atlast that meditation is very difficult task
BE AWARE
So during the process of meditation  inorder to chanalize the thoughts we have to be aware of the thoughts first of all.
AWARENESS plays key role in meditation process.
THOUGHTS ARE CREATED BY ME
Then you have to take it granted that the thought is being created by me.The very big illusion is the thought is  just comming from the stimulus outside .
So you have to make sure that the thoughts do not come from outside but they are created by me.
END OF THE BLAME GAME
This is the very big awareness you have to get ,when you get this awareness that the thought is created by me the blame game will end.

When you take the responsibility that you are the creater of the thought then you can very easily change the thought.
EFFECT OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
Daily we  creat about 40 to 50 thousands of thoughts at a rate of 25 to 30 thoughts per minute
If we are not aware of the thoughts and just going on blaming others and thinking that the thoughts are comming from outside and if they are negative and bad energy releasers ,then imagine how chaotic our life going to be.
GOLDEN RULES
So every time be aware of the thoughts ,
be aware of the damaging negative thoughts,
take responsibility of creating those thoughts ,
then change the thoughts.
Every thought show it's effect on each and every cell of the body so be careful.
Thoughts are packed with tremendous amount of energy ,this can be used for destruction if the thoughts are not properly directed  and can be used for construction if they are properly  chanalized .
